Leo Appleyard

Leo is a guest contributor to the murder minutes project. Performing on 'Eternal Art of the Simulated Mind, 2013. We hope to include him many more scores as well as the final album and exhibition.

Leo Appleyard

Leo Appleyard is a London based jazz guitarist who has performed all over the UK and Europe at venues and festivals including Ronnie Scotts, The Spice of Life, Charlie Wrights, The Blue Note (Dublin), Bagra jazz festival (Italy), Oldenburg jazz festival (Germany) and many others.

Leo has studied at The Royal Academy of Music - London, and Birmingham Conservatoire, where he has recieved tution from many notable musicians including Nick Smart, Phil Robson, Jez Franks, Dave Cliff, Jean Toussaint, Hans Koller and Mike Williams.

Over the years Leo has played with various artists including, Derek Nash, Jim Mullen, Duncan Eagles, Max Luthert, Louie Palmer and Sam Leak, as well as many of the local musicians from his hometown of Kingston Upon Thames.

Current projects include a quartet playing original compositions, featuring Duncan Eagles (Tenor Sax), and a tribute to Kenny Burrell featuring Birmingham based musicians and Australian clarinetist/saxophonist Duncan Hemstock.
